Course Description:       

This introductory 3-hour watercolor class is a hands-on step-by-step workshop designed for adult learners who are either beginners or who have some experience with watercolor painting. Students will learn how to render beautiful floral and landscape images using a variety of watercolor techniques which will allow them to interpret the simplicity and softness of nature.[ Students must bring watercolor materials and tools to class. A list of recommended items is included below].

    Required Materials:

              * Beginning students may want to purchase an inexpensive basic/child’s watercolor set at Michael's or Wal-Mart

* Watercolor paper, 140 lb cold press                           

* a set of synthetic watercolor brushes, including nicely pointed small, medium and big brushes and liner brushes for fine details

* watercolor pencils

* Masking tape

* 1 small (natural) sponge

* 1 pencil and one eraser

* 2 water containers

* 1 watercolor palette and 1 white plastic plate

* A box of Kleenex

                  * A pair of scissors
            
            * 1 small white candle
